Craig Barden, Coastal Lines (AERIAL 2026)

A black and white study of Australia's coastline, exploring the geometric marks humans leave on shifting natural environments. Bridges, Break walls, Ocean pools create bold structural divisions across, water and sand while the oyster lease introduces a more organic, patterned form of coastal industry. Each image examines how these interventions shape the textures, rhythms and boundaries of the shore. The monochrome treatment emphasises contrast, structure and abstraction, presenting the coast as a landscape defined by both natural forces and human design.
