Sheena Suwart, Breaking Light (LANDSCAPE 2026)
These four photographs were taken over a single evening at the Northern Breakwater, Port Kembla. Rather than focusing on the location itself, I wanted to capture how the landscape changed as daylight disappeared. Each image was photographed later than the last, following the transition from sunset through to night. Throughout the series, I was drawn to the interplay between light and dark, cool and warm tones, and the contrast between industry and nature.
