Alysha Yaacoub, Birds of Greater Melbourne (ANIMAL & NATURE 2026)

These are 4 images of native Australian birds taken in Melbourne and its surroundings. The first is of two Rainbow Lorikeets at Blackburn Lake. The second is a Great Egret mid-flight down at the Avalon Beach Wetlands. The third image is a juvenile Superb Fairy Wren at Werribee Zoo. And the final image is of a New Holland Honeyeater at the Cranbourne Botanical Gardens. Photographing our country's stunning Native wildlife is my passion, and I hope to share some of our beautiful and unique birds with as many people as possible.
