Adrian Kaletta, Before and After the Fire (AERIAL 2026)

Taken just three months apart, these aerial photographs capture the sudden disappearance of the historic timber trestle bridges along Victoria’s Cudgewa Line. Once a defining feature of the High Country Rail Trail, the bridges stood as reminders of early railway engineering, regional connection and decades of volunteer care. In January 2026, bushfire swept through North East Victoria, destroying all these structures and leaving a devastating loss to the landscape. I was fortunate to document both the bridges before the fire and the landscape after, preserving a record of this history.
