Daniel Sly, Australia's Underwater Biodiversity (ANIMAL & NATURE 2025)
Australia’s coastline is home to an incredible diversity of marine life, thriving across a wide range of habitats from warm tropical seas to cool temperate reefs. In these varied environments, reptiles, fish, marine mammals, and invertebrates have all adapted to find their place beneath the waves. Some navigate coral-rich waters with ease, while others roam kelp forests or rocky shores. This rich variety of animals reflects the complexity and health of Australia’s underwater ecosystems, each species playing its role in a vibrant and ever-changing marine world
