Warren Lloyd, Aurora australis and the Milky Way over Oberon Dam (SINGLE SHOT 2025)
It's only in the past couple of years that I became aware that the aurora australis could be seen from Australia, and I've since learned that you've got to be pretty lucky to have the right conditions to photograph it. On this particular night last month I hit the jackpot! The aurora kicked off on a night with clear skies and just enough moonlight to bring up the landscape. The colours intensified later on, but this was my favourite shot with the Milky Way arcing over the horizon
