Kim Talento, Anatomy of the Earth (AERIAL 2026)
From above, the Pink Cliffs in Heathcote, Victoria, reveal a completely different side of the landscape. I was fascinated by how the rock formations almost resemble parts of a living organism, with their intricate folds, deep crevices and branching patterns that look like veins running through the earth. The soft pinks, creams and oranges, along with the shadows cast by the sunlight, bring out the incredible textures and shapes created by nature over time. I also wanted to capture the contrast between these exposed, colourful formations and the surrounding green vegetation. Through these four aerial photographs, I wanted to reveal what I see as the anatomy of the earth, showcasing its natural patterns, textures and details that are easily overlooked from the ground.
