Brian Anderson, Amboseli sunrise (SINGLE SHOT 2025)

On a morning game drive in the Amboseli National Park in Kenya, the sunrise through the fine dust cast a red glow across the plains. As we edged forward on the road, appreciating the sunrise, a small herd of elephants appeared in silhouette over the shallow rise, the herd raising more dust as they kicked at the roots of plants on their morning feed. The contrast was compelling: of colour and silhouette; and of the drama of the colour and peaceful feeding amble of the elephants.
