Mike Foo, Abandoned Cars (TRAVEL 2026)

It's springtime in Australia and everyone's gone taking pictures of wild flower fields, canola and the colorful landscapes. Having moved to Australia only 15 years ago and hardly traveled much, I'm still virtually a tourist here when it comes to exploring the outskirts of Perth. I've recently switched to film photography and also learning to develop my own films. I brought my Bronica ETRSi and 75mm f2.8 along for a trip to Wave Rock with another keen photographer friend. Along the way, I chanced upon these abandoned, rusty cars parked on a plot of land. The day was really sunny and I popped in some rolls of precious Velvia 50 slide films. Waited anxiously and 2 weeks went by and the lab finally returned with these gorgeous slides!
