Vanessa Haines, A World Apart (AERIAL 2025)

I was honoured to capture these photographs with my drone in the Lofoten Islands and Senja in Norway. This series was taken at midnight or at 3am during the summer solstice during the country's 2 months of 24hr sun. I went to some of these locations twice to capture the best lighting and the show the absolute magnificent of this beautiful world. I named this series a world apart to highlight how I felt in these moments baring witness to these scenes. How it feels like another world and beyond anything I have ever seen they feel unreal.
