Ian Sale, A red-flowering gum by the road to Opossum Bay (CREATIVE 2026)

This is a multiple image blend inspired by the work of spanish photographer Pep Ventosa. Some years ago a group of residents of Tasmania's South Arm Peninsula decided to plan red flowering gums along the road between the two main villages. In a sometimes challenging maritime climate some trees have prospered, while others have struggled but overall the project was a success and brings bright colours to the area in late autumn. This small tree was photographed more than 30 times from different but equidistant viewpoints and the images then blended in Photoshop
